Raquel Naranjo
As a wealth manager, I help flow through entities, lower their tax liability via a very niched area of the pension plan. We recently saved a dental practice $300k in taxes for a dollar for dollar deduction the first year alone. This includes small profitable businesses.
As president and co-founder of the LPA, I most love to work with my LPA ladies to provide resources and help our community as a whole and individually to bring forth education and sponsor local businesses. The resources we offer give the community a way of connecting and working with professionals in their areas of expertise. Additionally, I also love that we are all women and most of us are also business owners ourselves.

What I love most being a Portrait and Wedding Photographer is that I capture raw emotions with my camera and my customers get to relive their special moments. I deliver more than a photograph, I deliver a lifetime of memories. I also really enjoy the fact that a lot of my customers are local to Santa Barbara, so I know a lot of them personally. Getting to photograph their families year after year, watching families grow, is so fun.
One skill that I would like to share with other Latinas is, ask questions! Always ask! Anyone that knows me, knows that I am not afraid to ask for help or clarification. If you need clarification or help understanding something, someone else in the room probably does too. Speak up. It's ok, we are all learning. Put yourself out there and learn what you can to do to better yourself and your business.
